CAKE OF THE MONTH
                     Snow Ball Coconut Cake

                                              1-   cake mix
                                              1-   favorite frosting recipe
                                              1-   cup of  coconut




Butter and flour your favorite bundt cake pan (do not
use angel food pan with the hole in the middle )
or 2.5 quart Pyrex oven safe bowl.  Bake your favorite
cake according to package directions.  Let cool
release from pan. Place on your favorite cake dish.  
Top with your favorite icing.  I use Butter Cream Icing.   
After frosting the cake press down on icing and pull up
to make soft peaks.  Sprinkle with coconut.

SNOW MAN  (using toilet paper roll)
Materials:

empty toilet paper roll                               
paper
egg carton
black construction paper
paper or some red ribbon                                   
Snowman Template

Instructions:
Print out the template linked under the snowman picture.  There
you will find a snowman body, scarf, and a cover for your toilet
paper roll.

Glue or tape cover to paper roll and glue body and scarf onto roll to
make snowman.

Cut a black circle from construction paper

Use one egg carton section for the top of the hat.  Wrap and  fold
black paper to egg carton section and either tape or glue down.

If you don't want to use the scarf template you can use a thin piece
of paper or a piece of ribbon or yarn for the scarf.

PINE CONE BIRD FEEDERS

1          per child      pine cones from trees
1 cup  per child     smooth peanut butter
1 cup  per child     bird seed
1         per child      12 inch long colored yarn

Tie yarn around top of cone.  Spread on
peanut butter using a plastic knife or
spoon.  Roll cones in a shallow tray filled with
birdseed.   Hang outside for birds to eat.

Peanut Butter Playdough

18 oz                   peanut butter
6 tablespoons  honey
                        Non-fat dry milk
                        Cocoa for flavor

Mix all ingredients, adding enough dry
milk to make dough pliable. Shape,
decorate with edible treats, and eat!

black buttons or felt (for eyes and mouth)
orange felt or material (for nose)
magnet tape

Make each item and place magnet on
the back.  Place on fridge for kids to
arrange and re-arrange
